Delete your HomeVault account

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (admins)

  1. Open HomeVault and unlock your admin profile.
  2. Go to Home & family (the account screen).
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete household account.
  4. Confirm twice. This permanently erases the entire household — every member profile, item and shopping list — for everyone.

Admins can also remove a single member profile from the members list in Home & family without deleting the whole household.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, email support@thehomevaultapp.com from the address linked to your account and ask us to delete it. We will verify your request and delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.

What gets deleted

Deleting your household account permanently removes: your account/login, all member profiles, every inventory item, all shopping lists, prices, dates and notes, and your push notification token. Nothing is retained except where we are legally required to keep limited records.
